This premise put forth by Napoleon Hill is still not required reading in the typical government school system. Napoleon Hill wrote, “Self-discipline begins with the mastery of your thoughts. If you don’t control what you think, you can’t control what you do. Simply, self-discipline enables you to think first and act afterward.”
The rich include it all!! Instead of thinking either or you can be kind, generous, loving, spiritual, balanced, do work you love and be really really rich!!!

You have to think long-term. Thinking short-term, concern for immediate gratification keeps you poor. If you must have results immediately, you will quit. Balancing immediate goals and along terms goals requires a special kind of ‘fuzzy’ focus. Holding yourself accountable for both is about persistence.

The majority of men meet with failure because of their lack of persistence in creating new plans to take the place of those which fail. – Napoleon Hill
Patience, persistence and perspiration make an unbeatable combination for success. – Napoleon Hill
